To pay a traffic, criminal or uniform ordinance summons fine, file motions or other documents, request a jury trial or post bond: 7:30 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Friday and 7:30 am until 8:30 am on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

- City of Columbia Municipal Judges hold bond court on cases originating in that part of the City of Columbia in Richland County at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center located at 201 John Mark Dial Drive, Columbia, SC 29209. Bond Court is held every day at 8:30 am and 2:00 pm.
- City of Columbia Municipal Court judges hold bond court on cases originating in that part of the City of Columbia in Lexington County at the Municipal Court, 811 Washington Street, Columbia, SC on Monday through Friday at 9:00 am and 1:30 pm and on Saturday, Sunday and holidays at 8:30 am and 2:00 pm.
Where can I park to attend court?
The City’s Lincoln Street parking garage is located directly across Washington Street from the courthouse (click here for a map of downtown parking garages). The first hour of parking in the garage is free. In addition to the garage, metered parking places are located along Washington, Gadsden and Lincoln Streets. The Court cannot excuse parking tickets received while attending court or conducting business at the courthouse.

Where do I park for jury duty?
Parking for jurors is provided in the Lincoln Street garage located directly across the street from the courthouse. Please present your parking access card to a court officer when you enter the courthouse.

Where do I pay my fine?
Payments can be made online at http://www6.rcgov.us/SCJDWeb/OnlinePayments/disclaimer.aspx You must provide your last name and your ticket number and pay by credit card to make payments online. Payment can be made in person at the Municipal Court, 811 Washington Street, Columbia, South Carolina. Access to the Violations Division is through a door located in the courthouse breezeway or through the drive-thru window.
What forms of payment does the City of Columbia Municipal Court accept for current fines?
Cash, money orders, cashier checks, credit and debit cards. The City of Columbia Municipal Court does not accept personal checks.
What forms of payment does the City of Columbia Municipal Court accept for payment of bonds?
The City of Columbia Municipal Court accepts cash, money orders and cashier checks for payment of bonds. Properly licensed and registered bondsmen may post surety bonds in the Court’s Violations Division.
Do you take credit/debit cards?
Yes, we take credit/debit cards for current fines. Fees of 1.7% of the total fine plus $1.00 are assessed on all credit/debit card transactions. We do not accept credit/debit cards for payment of fines after a bench warrant has been issued.
